temba bavuma
Founder
Temba Bavuma is the founder of the Temba Bavuma Foundation and is currently member of the South African cricket team in all formats (Test, ODI and T20) of the game. He captains the ODI and T20 teams, whilst serving as the vice-captain for the Test team. In addition to representing his country, Mr Bavuma also plies his trade the Imperial Lions cricket team that plays in the domestic league in South Africa. He is currently signed to Roc Nation Sports and also serves as a non-executive director for Khulanathi Property Group.
He hails from Cape Town where he was born and bred, attending South African College Highs School (SACS) for primary school. Temba went on to finish his schooling at the prestigious St David’s Marist Inanda, through a cricket scholarship. He represented Gauteng at the various age group levels throughout his schooling career. Post high school, Mr Bavuma went onto to obtain his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of South Africa. Most recently, Temba completed an advanced real estate course through the University of Cape Town.

Head – Strategic Partnerships
Tyson is currently employed at Standard Bank, as a Vice President in the Equity Finance and Investments team within the Investment Banking division. He joined the bank in 2013 on the Corporate and Investment Banking graduate programme and has spent time in Global Markets and Investment Banking. His work experience to date has covered multiple geographies, such as China, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, Kenya, DRC, Mozambique, Ivory Coast and Zambia. Tyson is a trustee on the St David’s Marist Inanda Foundation board, which serves as a custodian for the schools endowment fund. He also serves as an non-executive director for Khulanathi Property Group.
He is currently furthering his studies through the UCT Graduate School of Business, Executive Education. Tyson graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance Honours), where he was the recipient of a Gallagher scholarship and numerous other awards. Prior to that, he matriculated from St David’s Marist Inanda, where he was the recipient of an academic scholarship. He is passionate about paying it forward and has a keen interest in real estate investing, art and fashion.

Lesedi is the Founder & CEO of Leora Media, a black-owned and managed leading Digital Marketing Agency. The company serves clients in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Ghana and Washington D.C. She has over 8 years of experience ranging from Corporate and Private Events, Brand Experiences, Digital Marketing and Communications.
With a National Diploma in Marketing Management from Damelin College and a BBA (Marketing Management) from IMM Graduate School of Marketing in progress. Recently she completed the FNB WIB (Women in Business) Propeller, an 18 month Business Incubation Programme. Lesedi is currently part of the Black Umbrellas, a partner entity of the Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation.
Nicholas van den bergh

Head – Legal and Compliance
Nicholas J. van den Bergh is an admitted attorney and member of the law society of the northern provinces as well as a professional cricketer. He is a Partner in the law firms, De Villiers Attorneys in Potchefstroom, as well as De Villiers Puwani Attorneys in Illovo, Johannesburg. Although he covers various fields his main focus areas are Corporate and Commercial law, Tax law and civil litigation. Nicholas is also a professional cricket player and has recently moved to the North West Dragons after spending 6 years at the Imperial Lions in Johannesburg. He has captained the Imperial Lions team in many instances when Temba is away on national duty and currently captaines the North West Dragons.

Yusuf holds an B.Comm Marketing degree from Wits University as well as an MBA from Bond University in Australia. His career spans from consulting to many a government department in South Africa with a focus on socio-economic development as well as starting up and nurturing a number of businesses in mining, telecoms and FMCG. Yusuf is a business coach, public speaker, writer and entrepreneur. He currently hosts the popular inspirational TV show ‘Inspirate’ which runs on DSTV Channel 347.
His passion in empowering people to achieve their dreams and live a life of abundance lead him to partner with Temba in giving back to the youth.
vuyo bavuma

Vuyo, Executive Director of Skyeagle Communications Solutions, is an accomplished communications practitioner with more than three decades’ experience in the media industry. The former news editor and head of investigations worked in senior positions for several newspapers in the Independent Newspapers stable. During his journalism career, he covered the anti-apartheid Struggle from the 1980s up to the mid-1990s as well as parliamentary politics during the dawn of democratic South Africa. He was also a Sport Editor. He holds several degrees – LLB, Honors in Sociology, and a Bachelor of Social Science – and tertiary diplomas in communications.

I was approached by Temba to join the Foundation and oversee the recruitment, growth and development of the current and new talent cohort that is part of the foundation. This includes both academic and sporting talent. I am excited to see the growth of the youngsters and the foundation playing a significant role in mentoring the players. My dream is to always try and make a positive contribution to someone’s life.
